Principal and Founder, Brighter Side

Rich Bowen’s career has focused on understanding how the internet can help businesses and people connect in beneficial ways. He brings more than 20 years’ experience to the classroom, including roles at IBM and digital consultancies, where he worked with clients such as DHL, UPS, AT&T and American Express. He started Brighter Side, which provides user experience design and content strategy services for local brands, in 2013. Bowen has taught at CU Boulder since 2011, preparing students to recognize emerging trends in the digital space while also addressing the fundamentals required to design effective digital solutions.
