Critical Media Practices
Travis Austin is an artist and musician from Austin, Texas. His practice investigates space, material flow and stasis through sounds, images, objects and built environments. His work includes sound art and theory, sculpture, video, installation, virtual reality, music performance and composition and invented instruments. He has lectured internationally and published writing on sound art and collaborative learning and holds MFAs in Performance and Interactive Media Arts from Brooklyn College and Kinetic Imaging from Virginia Commonwealth University.
