Jayla Harding is a first year MS student, advised by Lecia Barker, in the Education and Contexts Lab. 

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from CU Boulder with a BA in Communication and Chinese; and was the recipient of the academic achievement award. Following graduation, she studied advanced Chinese at Indiana University Bloomington through the flagship program. 

Jayla will be pursuing her MS with the objective of combining her knowledge of secondary language learning and instruction with technology. She is interested in research regarding the use of information technology for the purpose of foreign language instruction, and the implementation of information technology that can improve social and educational practices within this scope.

In her free time, Jayla enjoys going to the gym, reading Chinese literature and cooking.
