Originally from LeRoy, New York, Alyssa Hill has over five years of experience in the field of education, both in the special education department and as an elementary teacher. She earned her BA in writing at the State University of New York College at Buffalo in 2022, and decided to further pursue her love of writing by enrolling in the MA Journalism program at CU Boulder.
As a journalist, Alyssa hopes to cover local, national, and international stories about social justice, especially those regarding the special education systems in schools around the world. She aspires to help shed light on important topics that bring about crucial conversations and changes.
Outside of writing, Alyssa enjoys true crime podcasts, hiking, traveling, and finding the best cup of coffee in town.
She lives in Broomfield with her pup, Luna.
