Summer 2017

This marks the first issue of our magazine CMCI Now, and I’m excited to share news from our students, faculty and centers. CMCI Now will be delivered four times a year electronically, with a fall print edition delivered by mail as well.

When Baltimore was in the national spotlight in spring 2015, so was alumnus Justin George (Jour'99).

This month, the center celebrates its 25th anniversary, as well as the 20th anniversary of the Ted Scripps Environmental Journalism Fellowship.

CMCI faculty take on buzzworthy issues.

This year, a group of 14 advertising students continued a long history of success at the One Show, bringing home silver and bronze pencils, as well as three merit awards.

With the title of global integrated media intern, senior Morgan Reno works with Nike’s media team as part of the larger advertising department.

PhD student Adam Lauver (Comm) volunteered to teach prison inmates in Denver to make a difference in their lives. To his surprise, the experience profoundly changed his view of himself as a teacher.

“We’re creating an environment in which students work with state-of-the-art equipment and software from the day they arrive until the day they graduate," said Dean Bergen.
