Shayne Wille Culpepper (PolSci’97), above, along with Adam Goucher (Comm’98) and Danny Reese (A&S’85), was inducted into the Colorado Running Hall of Fame in May.

The football program lost five scholarships due to substandard results on the Academic Progress Rate report for the period from 2005-09. CU officials had anticipated the penalty and thus reduced the scholarships they awarded for the 2009 season.

CU men’s golf coach Roy Edwards signed a recruit, Australian Patrick Wilson who is ranked among the world’s top 110 amateur players, according to Golfweek magazine. Meanwhile, a transfer from Pepperdine, junior Jessica Wallace, has joined the CU women’s golf team. Wallace finished 21st in the 2010 Women’s NCAA Championship Finals.

Former CU runners Adam Goucher (Comm’98), Shayne Wille Culpepper (PolSci’97) and Danny Reese (A&S’85) were inducted into the Colorado Running Hall of Fame in May. Former CU women’s basketball player Sherrice King (Psych ex’93) will be inducted into the Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame on Oct. 27.

Seven Coloradans will be among the 15 newcomers joining the CU volleyball team for the 2010 fall season. The list includes transfers Richi Bigelow of Littleton, Lydia Blaha of Colorado Springs and Anicia Santos of Frisco, along with recent high school graduates Nichole Lindow of Erie, Jessica Aschenbrenner of Denver, Hannah Walker of Colorado Springs and Emily Alexis of Brighton.
