Four-time Emmy Award nominee Kevin Wendling (Psych’02) won his first national sports Emmy Award for best Outstanding Technical Team Event. Kevin has been an operations producer for ESPN and ABC since 2003. In the last year, he has worked on ESPN’s Monday Night Football, College Football Saturdays and the College Football National Championship, Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli, the Women’s College World Series, the MLB All Star Game, NCAA Conference Championship Basketball, the Little League World Series and the Rose Parade.

Harvard Law graduate Everett Martínez (Psych’02) was named general counsel to Denver International Airport (DEN). After working over a decade in the law firm setting, Everett joined the Denver City Attorney’s Office (CAO) in 2016 and became assistant general counsel in 2020. Throughout his tenure at the CAO, Everett, who specialized in complex financial transactions, demonstrated a commitment to the betterment of the department. After his promotion Everett said, “In 1993 I toured DEN during its construction and was in awe of the facility. It’s been a dream come true to represent the airport, and I believe our best days are still to come.” He lives in Arvada, Colorado.

This spring, Michael Colón (EthnSt’02) joined the Hawaiian impact investment firm Ulupono Initiative as director of energy. In his role, he oversees the energy sector investing and helps lead projects that focus on clean energy for Hawaii. “Empowering communities through sustainable energy solutions is not just a job, it’s a passion,” Michael said on the firm’s website. He lives in Honolulu.

Luke Glisan (Mgmt’02) joined the Denver office of the Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck law firm as a shareholder in the corporate and business department. In this position, Luke is responsible for issues relating to employment law, such as mergers and acquisitions, hiring and promotions. Prior to this position, he worked in the field of law in New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C. in positions ranging from in-house employment counsel and employee relations teams to a law firm partner.

Jonathan Boord (Law’02) is CEO of Native Roots Cannabis Co. Upon Jonathan’s arrival with the company, Native Roots had one retail store. Now, the company has 21 locations. Under his leadership, Native Roots has supported scientific research to better understand the effects of cannabis and cannabinoids. Additionally, under Jonathan, the company earned a spot on the Civic 50, a list that details the most community-minded companies throughout Colorado.
