Julie Poppen (Eng'88) found her way back to CU Boulder after spending the bulk of her career as a journalist covering everything from crime to city council and everything in between (including higher ed and CU). She is now editorial director for campus, overseeing proactive media outreach, CU Boulder Today and outbound organic social media. She met her hubby at CU and they are proud Buff parents. She loves Liberty Puzzles (developed by a CU alum), telemark skiing and coffee at 3 p.m. daily.
