Cindy joined the CUCS team in March of 2023 and relocated from her hometown of Baltimore to Boulder in April. Prior to joining CU Boulder, Cindy spent eight years in the manufacturing sector, as the trade show & event manager for Apex Tool Group in Maryland. What Cindy loves about event planning is meeting her fascinating clients, learning about their unique missions and goals, and helping them create experiences that reflect those ideas. Prior to taking the role with Apex, Cindy spent more than 15 years in staffing and is passionate about coaching women in the workplace. Cindy’s husband, Jay, is a high school chemistry teacher & musician. They have two sons and one dog (Scout). The oldest son is married, living and studying at CU Boulder; the youngest is living the life of a talent manager in LA! Cindy’s free time is spent exploring with Scout, writing, and cheering on the Baltimore Ravens & Orioles, although feeling the excitement around the CU Buffs! Cindy & Jay are looking forward to many excursions in the coming months to get to know their beautiful new state of Colorado!
