I am excited to introduce you to the new Financial and Tax Reporting unit in the Campus Controller’s Office!
How the Unit Developed
Following realignment, the Campus Controller’s Office evaluated tasks, roles and responsibilities being completed by staff in different departmental units.
Through this evaluation, it became clear that financial and tax reporting responsibilities were dispersed across different units. The Financial and Tax Reporting unit was created in order to consolidate these tasks and to take on additional tasks that hadn’t been done before in the Campus Controller’s Office.

Justin Church, Associate Director, Financial and Tax Reporting
Meet the Team
Justin Church, CPA, Associate Director
Justin came to CU Boulder as an auditor specializing in governmental entities. He began in CCO as an accountant, then became manager of area accounting, and most recently became associate director of finance and tax reporting. Justin enjoys reading history books, traveling and working on his rudimentary skills in Spanish, Swedish and French.
Rob Guinn, Senior Accountant
Rob joins the Financial and Tax Reporting unit with a diverse accounting background and extensive experience in governmental accounting. His most recent job was a sales tax auditor with the City of Boulder. Rob is an avid cyclist and spends all his free time up in the mountains.
