Amanda is a Licensed Professional Counselor excited to be joining CAPS as an Embedded Therapist for the College of Arts & Sciences. Amanda brings a passion for promoting holistic wellness and empowering individuals seeking to make meaningful change through a strengths-based, collaborative approach. An advocate for utilizing the therapeutic properties of nature and humor, Amanda strives to build therapeutic alliance rooted in authenticity, openness, empathy and unconditional positive regard.

Prior to joining CAPS, Amanda provided counseling services for individuals, couples, and families in private practice and non-profit mental health agency settings. Amanda is currently working on a PhD of Psychology with a Humanistic, Existential, & Transpersonal specialization through Saybrook University.

Mindfulness/meditation, consensual non-monogamy/non-traditional relationship dynamics, self-actualization, LGBTQIA+ concerns, stress reduction, spirituality/religion, and improving interpersonal skills.
