Anna Valiante
MSW, LCSW • Behavioral Health Counselor

Anna Valiante is an innovative, compassionate and culturally humble licensed clinical social worker with a mission to destigmatize counseling and therapy within college and graduate student populations. Anna is passionate about ensuring every student has the opportunity to feel heard and supported along their journey to and through college. Anna uses a trauma informed lens to explore more avenues of advocacy and support for students confronting systemic barriers within the higher education community.

Anna graduated with her Master's in Social Work (MSW) in May 2021 from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her training hours were spent with a college access and success program in Aurora and a middle and high school in Denver where she developed skills in somatic therapy and trauma informed care.

Before and during her master’s program, Anna worked as an advisor with College Track in Aurora. She supported first generation college students with academics, financial aid, case management, wellness and career services. Anna completed a two year social work fellowship with CAPS after her masters and is excited to continue working with the Behavioral Health team at CAPS. Anna is a member of the Eating Concerns Team and Alcohol and Other Drugs Team.
