Melissa is a post-masters social work fellow who earned her Master's degree at Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Melissa recognizes the importance of building a foundation of trust through authentic connection and genuine empathy with every student. She understands that each client is a unique individual with their own unique needs and experiences of the world. To honor this beautiful individuality, she strives to provide a client-specific blend of therapeutic modalities to best serve them. Some of these approaches include person-centered therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Strengths-Based Approach (SBA). She is committed to practicing through a lens of cultural humility and embraces the ongoing process of self-reflection.

Melissa appreciates each and every therapeutic relationship she forms with her clients and is eager to support CU Boulder students as empowered individuals in their life journey.

I'd most like to visit:
The Salar de Uyuni salt flats in Bolivia.
