Emily is broadly interested in how humans understand and interact with automated systems. She is advised by Sriram Sankaranarayanan and is pursuing a joint degree through the Institute of Cognitive Science. Outside of research, she seeks to improve the graduate student experience at CU through the Computer Science Graduate Student Association and the Graduate and Professional Student Government. Emily holds a BS in Mathematics and a BA in Cognitive Science from Case Western Reserve University.
