Soraya Latiff (she/her/hers) is the Assistant Director of the Public Achievement program where she has worked as a leader for 6 years. She is also a Community Engagement Specialist for DECE. She has a B.A. in International Affairs and Global Environmental Affairs from CU Boulder and an MPA with a concentration in Environmental Policy and Law from UC Denver. She is also the co-founder and facilitator of Boulder Valley School District's Youth Equity Council and a Senior Researcher with the Right2Learn Dignity Lab at CU Denver. She is the owner of Empathy Grown and a yoga and meditation teacher at Urban Sanctuary in Five Points, Denver. She has served with Americorps National and Community Service and has worked as a Coordinator for Puksta Scholars and the Leadership Studies Minor. She is a first-generation student and immigrant and grew up in Trinidad and Tobago. She has taught in Costa Rica and studied in Tanzania. Soraya is a believer in storytelling, empathy, and that we all have the capacity for change-making.
