Dr. Bolton and his wife grew up in Longmont Colorado. Dr. Bolton developed a passion for learning science at a young age. After earning a degree in Engineering Physics from the Colorado School of Mines, he went on to complete a Masters in Physics and a Doctorate in Nuclear Theory at the University of Washington, Seattle. In addition to teaching physics courses and being an awesome Dad to three wonderful children at CU Boulder, Dr. Bolton currently applies first-principles for determination of the masses and widths of pion-pion scattering resonances such as the rho meson.  My wife, Laura, and I grew up in Longmont, CO.  Dr. Bolton's favorite hobbies are trail running and hiking.
