Eric Cornell Professor in the CU Department of Physics and a fellow at NIST and JILA. Professor Cornell was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2001 for his work on the Creation of the Bose-Einstein Condensate (1995). His Cornell Group researches primarily atomic and molecular physics, precision measurement, the Bose-Einstein Condensate and extremely cold atomic gases.
