Mark is a professor in CU Boulder's Department of Applied Mathematics, joining the faculty in Summer 2014. He founded the Dispersive Hydrodynamics Lab in Fall 2014, Applied Math's first experimental laboratory. He enjoys teaching and doing research with enthusiastic, young applied mathematicians and scientists who remind him to remain young at heart and open to new things. In his free time, Mark enjoys going on hikes with his wife Jill and dog Piper. He also practices meditation!
