Chris Lett is a National Geographic Explorer and Emmy-nominated journalist celebrated for his impactful work at CNN. Throughout his career, Lett has been a driving force in environmental justice reporting, prompting Department of Justice actions through his investigations. As a Scripps environmental journalism fellow at the University of Colorado Boulder, he conducted research and reporting on global natural resource management practices and environmental justice. He is producing his first feature film documenting the cultural and environmental impact of illegal industrial fishing on Ghana’s coastal villages based on his research as a Fulbright fellow. Now a visual storyteller at the Bureau of Land Management, Lett leverages his experience to produce films showcasing the critical work of the BLM, leaving a lasting impact on media and the environment.
