Maya Ward
Director, 92NY School Engagement in the Arts
2024 Speaker

Since joining 92NY’s School Engagement in the Arts Department in 2018, Maya Ward has worked in various roles designing and implementing school-based residencies and teen programs and initiatives, including the Teen Producers apprenticeship program. Over the years, she has established strong ties to a rich community of teaching artists, partner schools, and students across NYC and the nation.

Before joining 92NY, Ward worked at the Public Theater supporting the development department. In addition to her arts administration work, she has worked in New York City public schools through service-learning courses and an AmeriCorps teaching fellowship. Ward graduated with a BA from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study with a concentration in sociology and performance studies. These experiences inspired Ward’ commitment to arts education and the essential role it plays in personal growth, creative expression and community-building.
