This year’s Conference of World Affairs at the University of Colorado Boulder welcomed a diverse selection of panelists to discuss whether masculinity is toxic. The panel comprised of a formerly incarcerated tech professional, an academic in ethnic and gender studies and a former NFL linebacker-turned-meditation specialist.

This year’s CWA had a wider focus on issues surrounding mental health and self-care. It was an effort to broaden the conversation around the struggles young people face and how they can cope with issues such as stress and loneliness.

The star athlete discussed her mission and her past as a soccer player Friday in a keynote panel during this year’s Conference on World Affairs, which bore the theme, “Women & Girls Changing the World.”

The troubles immigrants face were discussed from numerous perspectives during the University of Colorado Boulder’s annual Conference on World Affairs, the week-long event which brings voices from around the world to discuss contemporary issues. CWA was held from April 9 to April 13 this year.

Klobuchar, 58, closed out the University of Colorado Boulder’s Conference on World Affairs with a speech about restoring faith and trust to the office of the United States presidency.

The Conference on World Affairs (CWA) brought together eight highly-skilled jazz artists Wednesday, April 10 at Macky Auditorium.

The City of Boulder’s flagship HOP service will be free to everyone from April 9 through April 13 to support the Conference on World Affairs. The HOP, operated by the City of Boulder, runs between Boulder Junction, the Twenty Ninth Street Mall, CU Boulder and downtown. One-way fares are typically $3.

The Molly Ivins Memorial Plenary has been subtitled “A Conversation with Senator Amy Klobuchar” and will take place on Saturday, April 13, at 4 p.m. in Macky Auditorium.

The Division of Continuing Education will cover the significant production and staffing costs of livestreaming the CWA this year to audiences in Boulder and beyond.
