For Qualtrics, some question types are accessible, while others can be made more accessible and usable by incorporating best practices for accessible survey creation. Some questions are just inaccessible, despite whatever best practices are employed.

To ensure better access for survey respondents who may use assistive technologies, survey creators cannot use certain question types in Qualtrics that are deemed inaccessible. Inaccessible question types include those that require the use of a mouse to navigate/complete the question or those that require interaction with a graphic where alt text can’t be added. This page reviews accessible alternatives for the inaccessible question types in Qualtrics that are unavailable for use.

Survey creators also have the option to submit a Qualtrics Accessibility Exception Request and potentially receive temporary access for the use of an inaccessible question type.
