Through a partnership with Qualcomm Wireless Academy, CU Boulder graduate students now have access to free 5G training courses, as well as the opportunity to earn an industry-recognized 5G certification.
Qualcomm is a global leader in semiconductors and wireless technology and transforms how we communicate through smartphones, interact through gaming devices and connect through vehicles and smart cities.
The partnership complements the fundamental education in communication theory from the Department of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering at CU Boulder. The Qualcomm courses offer students the opportunity to connect what is learned in classrooms with real-world applications and to gain a competitive edge in the job market.
Eligibility: Any undergraduate or graduate student who wants to gain cutting edge and practical knowledge in 5G can sign up. Students who have taken ECEN 4242 Communication Theory or ECEN 5692 Principle of Digital Communications, as well as students of the Embedded Systems Engineering Professional Master’s Program (PMP), stand to gain the most from participating in this program.
