Millions of disabled and elderly people depend on the support of medical professionals or family members for simple daily tasks. This creates not only a huge economic burden but can have significant social and medical disadvantages. Simple tasks such as waking up, locking/unlocking doors, utilizing the refrigerator, ordering food online, medication and notifying emergency services are problems that disabled/ elderly people face daily. According to several studies most elderly people live alone so the need for automated assistants is prevalent and urgent.

The Gesture Motion Assistant (GMA) provides direct and indirect assistant by acting as a portable command center for home automation. In other words, the GMA is capable of directly communicating with HVAC, water, oven, doors locks, wheelchairs and phones and giving access to the user with their hand gestures. Therefore, users can only do hand gestures and the GMA does what they want to happen.

The main beneficiaries of this product are medically disabled and elderly people. Using the GMA, they can perform simple tasks.  With a rapidly growing elderly population, the GMA can reduce the need for in-home care.

The GMA not only gives users the ability to control home devices, but it also provides users extensive applications to perform a variety of tasks. The GMA is compatible with any Bluetooth device that the consumer wishes to use.
