Ari
Zero Waste Outreach Coordinator
Zero Waste Outreach Team

Ari joined the Environmental Center in the Spring of 2023 as the Zero Waste Outreach Coordinator. Ari received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Environmental Communications & Advocacy, and a Master of Science in Sustainability Sciences from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. During her time at the UMass Amherst, Ari focused on creating and expanding Zero Waste programs on campus, including the New2U—a move out collection and move in tag sale for all students. Upon graduation, Ari worked as the campus’ Sustainability Engagement Coordinator for two years helping to further the campus’ sustainability goals.

In search of new adventures and mountains to climb, Ari headed west to Colorado in the fall of 2017 to work for Eco-Cycle—one of the nation’s oldest and largest non-profit recyclers and Zero Waste Organizations—where she served as the Outreach and Engagement Manager for five years. Ari worked on a dedicated team that worked tirelessly to make a positive impact on Zero Waste in Colorado and beyond and is excited to take all that she learned in her time at Eco-Cycle to help CU Boulder work toward their Zero Waste goals.

In her free time Ari can be found thrifting, cooking with friends, hiking, camping, or searching for a dog to pet.
