CU Boulder Bike Program

Samuel is a former park ranger and is an outdoor enthusiast who is passionate not only about being in nature, but also about having a healthy relationship with it. He has been car-free since 2009 and loves to walk and ride bikes to get around and to enjoy the outdoors. He has worked as a bike mechanic, mountain bike patroller, and education coordinator for a bicycle non-profit where he developed the education program. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Services at Metro State in Denver and his graduate certificate in Leadership and Management at CU. Samuel, not only teaches and leads bike clinics, he also mentors student staff who educate and empower others to make their own bike repairs, removing the barrier of a non-working bike. He manages the bike program with a focus on making cycling a viable and convenient option for more people. He is a Wilderness EMT and when not on campus, you may see him riding his bike, running the trails, or taking photos.
