By invitation of the CU-Boulder Athletic Department, Professor Dan Liston was featured during the recent Colorado Buffaloes football game against Oregon State as the "Faculty Coach of the Game." Faculty members are nominated to be Faculty Coach of the Game by student-athletes, the Boulder Faculty Assembly, the Chancellor's Office, or the Herbst Academic Staff in recognition for a distinguished commitment to excellence in their field.

As Faculty Coach of the game, Professor Liston, together with his wife Michele Seipp and Associate Dean for Teacher Education Jennie Whitcomb, joined the the captains of the team on the center of the field for the coin toss, while the video posted below featured Professor Liston's teaching and research accomplishments. In addition, Professor Liston joined the academic support staff for a tour of the Dal Ward Athletic Center and halftime lunch with former CU letter awarded athletes.
