Devon is a PhD student in the Equity, Bilingualism & Biliteracy and Teacher Learning, Research & Practice program areas. He is interested in issues related to bilingual teacher learning, particularly in the context of “alternative” certification pathways. Devon works as a field coach and course instructor in CU’s undergraduate Elementary Education program and is also a graduate research assistant with Dr. Mileidis Gort supporting bilingual writing instruction in Denver Public Schools. Prior to graduate studies at CU, Devon was a Spanish/English bilingual math teacher in New York City.
