With poetry, self-reflection, dialogue and community-building, more than 130 educators from 15 school districts gathered at Boulder’s Casey Middle School for the state’s first LGBTQ-Inclusive Educational Practices Institute over the summer.

Open to and aimed at the public, these short and engaging talks will be led by CU Boulder education professors who will explore topics such as teacher walkouts, hate speech on college campuses, distrust in education, and more.

A new $2.8 million federal grant will fund a five-year Science Teachers Learning from Lesson Analysis project, or STeLLA CO2, in a unique partnership between CU Boulder, UCCS, UNC and BSCS Science Learning — an independent nonprofit dedicated to research-driven innovation in science education.
