The Department of Environmental Health and Safety at the University of Colorado Boulder works with the campus community as well as local, state, and federal agencies to ensure that all environmental health and safety hazards – biological, chemical, radiological, as well as environmental compliance and occupational health and safety are appropriately addressed.

The department also works with Facilities Management and contractors during campus renovations to insure the safe removal of hazardous materials. Through training provided to campus constituencies and consultation with campus personnel and local officials, the department commits itself to the safety of the university campus and the surrounding Boulder community.
