Bri Gonzalez is a queer, Chicane writer from San Antonio, Texas. Their debut collection is forthcoming with Game Over Books (2024). More of their work can be found in Honey Literary, Talon ReviewJukeJoint, Janus LiteraryCrow & Cross Keys, among others. Bri is a graduate of the Summer '23 Napa Valley Writers' Conference and the Summer '20 Rutgers English Diversity Institute. They taught English during their time as an undergraduate, where they worked with high school sophomores and seniors on personal essay writing. Bri is co-poetry editor of TIMBER with the lovely Lilly Rothman. Their work ranges in subject, touching on topics like mental illness and diagnoses, pop culture, Mexican folklore, assimilation and cultural barriers for people of mixed ethnicity, and queerness. Some have described Bri's writing as absurd maximalism. In their free time, they enjoy playing inordinate amounts of D&D, bothering their black cat, Dahlia, and drinking too much coffee.
