Majed (MJ) AlghamdiWe made it through, now let's go make some positive change!

Tell us about your involvement and/or student leadership roles in and/or outside of ENVD.
I was a peer mentor to three students. Instructional teaching assistant for the Tech 2 and Tech 3 courses. Winner of the KRob competition for Best Student Hand Delineation in 2018.

What inspired you to come to ENVD when choosing your school?
Before transferring into ENVD, I was a geology major and I didn't feel like it was where I belong. After discovering ENVD I was inspired by the people, and how friendly they were in such a competitive field. I always felt like I belonged there, ENVD felt like home.

What is one of the greatest experiences or lessons from your time at CU Boulder that you'll carry with you into the next chapter of your life?
Anything is possible with a little bit of willpower, and a dash of confidence.

Based on what you know now, what is your best piece of advice for other students?
Count on your instructor and lean on your classmates, it's ok to need help.

Describe one of your favorite memories.
Making physical models in the basement of ENVD with studio mates while listening to music!

What does graduating from college represent for you?
A blessing to have had this opportunity, an achievement for seeing it through to the end.

What are your plans beyond graduation?
Short-term: Gaining as much experience before going into graduate school. Long-term: I aim to win the Pritzker Architecture award at some point in my life.
