It's that time of year again–when we're right, smack dab in the middle of the semester and everything hits us all at once. Don't forget to take some time for yourself to reflect and most importantly breathe. Remember that your faculty members, academic advisors and program staff are here to support you. Resources are available to you if you are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma or otherwise feel that you need to seek help. Environmental Design and CU Boulder are here to provide safe places of support, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, racial and cultural identity, and religious and economic background. Your health and well-being are important to us, and you are not alone.

The following resources are available should you need them:

  • Meet with an ENVD academic advisor
  • Talk with an ENVD Peer Advisor
  • Make an appointment with Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS): A Community Action Center - CAPS assists with a wide range of personal, psychological and behavioral counseling. For more information, please contact one of their two locations: CAPS at C4C (S440): 303-492-6766, or CAPS at Wardenburg (1st floor): 303-492-5654. 24-hour support is available at both locations.
  • Meet with the Office of Victim Assistance (OVA): OVA provides free and confidential information, consultation, support, advocacy and short-term counseling services to University of Colorado Boulder students, graduate students, faculty and staff who have experienced a traumatic, disturbing or life-disruptive event. OVA is not a part of the police department or the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance and is a confidential resource for students, staff and faculty.
  • Visit SilverCloud Health: an online portal that is free for students, faculty and staff. This tool allows the user to learn more about three key emotional health topics—anxiety, depression and stress—all at their own pace. Each module offers information, tips and techniques to better understand one’s emotional well-being.
  • Visit Wardenburg Health Center: Wardenburg Health Center offers personal health care services, health information and wellness programs. For more information, visit Wardenburg’s website, or call 303-492-5101.
