Rocky Mountain Dialogues on Mindfulness in Higher Education
Please join us...
for the 5th annual Rocky Mountain Dialogues on Mindfulness in Higher Education
Saturday, March 9, 2019
The Rocky Mountain Dialogues on Mindfulness in Higher Education is an annual gathering of faculty, staff, and students along the Front Range who are interested in the role of mindfulness and other contemplative practices in higher education. CU Boulder is delighted to be hosting this year. Responding to an increased need for psychological support on college campuses among students, staff and faculty, we are focusing this year’s gathering on Contemplative Strategies and Resources for Learning and Thriving.
The morning includes Breakout Sessions on contemplative pedagogy, student wellness, and inclusive classroom and campus culture. The afternoon features a keynote with Sona Dimidjian, Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at CU Boulder, who specializes in the application of contemplative practices in community, education, and healthcare settings. Her keynote, "To Be of Benefit: The Promise of Contemplative Research and Practice," will be followed by a Contemplative Practices Sampler and a chance to Walk the Planets.
