Ali completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Engineering (BE) at the Lebanese University, and Islamic University of Lebanon in Lebanon, with distinct focuses in structural engineering, infrastructure, and hydraulics, which broadened his understanding of different areas in civil engineering. After graduation, Ali gained practical experience as a site and design engineer. In 2020, he was awarded the prestigious Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. His master’s thesis focused on tunneling, showcasing his commitment to advancing knowledge in complex underground construction techniques.

After graduation, Ali joined ExxonMobil as a Contracts Engineer in the Major Capital Projects Department, where Ali gained valuable experience in project management and strategic planning. Currently, Ali is pursuing a PhD in Construction Engineering and Management at the University of Colorado Boulder, Ali shifted to academia aiming to explore advanced research in construction management and leveraging industry experience to drive innovation and sustainable practices in the field.

Outside academics and professional life, Ali enjoys football, hiking, and exploring new sports. Ali is an amateur cook who finds joy in the kitchen, learning about different cultures through their cuisines. A coffee enthusiast, Ali loves meeting new people over a good cup of coffee, building connections, and sharing ideas.
