Bio: Luis Rodriguez is a second-year Ph.D. student advised by Professor Robyn Macdonald in the Department of Aerospace and Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado, Boulder. His research interests include hypersonic flow, chemical kinetics, and plasma modeling. Luis was born and raised in Mexico. He received his B.E. in aeronautical engineering from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional and subsequently earned his M.S. in physics with an emphasis on fluid mechanics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Before joining CU Boulder, Luis conducted research on hydrodynamic instabilities and the acoustics of fluids, developing mathematical models.
In his free time, Luis enjoys watching movies, running, and listening to music.
