Bio: Dr. Robyn L. Macdonald is an assistant professor of Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research interests are in computational modeling of physical phenomena relevant to hypersonic flowfields, including gas phase chemistry, laminar-ot-turbulent transition, and turbulent flows. She completed her PhD at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2019 under the advisement of Dr. Marco Panesi. She worked as a post-doctoral researcher for two years at the University of Minnesota with Dr. Graham Candler. Since starting as an assistant professor in 2021, she has won a number of awards including the AFOSR Young Investigator Program (YIP) and NASA Early Career Faculty (ECF) award.
