Nicole is originally from Portland, Oregon. She got her bachelor's degree from Oregon State University in Bioengineering and Ph.D. in Biological Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research focuses on using magnetically responsive systems, including particles and hydrogels, for remote control over the delivery of cancer immunotherapies. She is also passionate about mentorship and K-12 STEM outreach. Outside of research, she enjoys spending time hiking, biking, and running with her dog.
