Chris Wright is an Assistant Vice Chancellor for Capital Finance for the Boulder campus.  He is responsible for developing and managing the cash and debt financing plans to support General Fund, Auxiliary, and Public Private Partnership (P3) capital construction and renovation projects at CU Boulder. He leads the internal financing activities, partners with CU’s Treasury for the issuance of external bond debt and manages the campus' debt portfolio.  

Chris previously served as the assistant superintendent of business services for the Carlsbad Unified School District in San Diego, California where he was responsible for leading all the business services for 15 K-12 schools. Part of this role included the development of a facilities master plan to modernize every district facility and managing the sale and refinancing of general obligation bonds for the district’s construction and renovation program.  In addition, Chris is a retired naval officer with 20 years of active and reserve duty in Naval Aviation. 

Chris has a bachelor’s degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Master’s of Business Administration from San Diego State University.  In his spare time you’ll find Chris skiing or watching his three kids play soccer just about every weekend.
