FACULTY DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT

Michaele Ferguson is the inaugural Faculty Fellow for women+ faculty at the Office of Faculty Affairs. In this role, she will bring our faculty who identify as women or femme together regularly and provide more opportunities to build the community that many feel is lacking on the campus. She will host events approximately twice each semester, with the intention of building campus connections across colleges, disciplines, and ranks.

Michaele is Associate Professor of Political Science and a President’s Teaching Scholar. She has written numerous articles and books on feminist and democratic theory, and is currently working on a book on feminist political theory. She is also co-authoring a role-playing game on the Paris Commune with Mark Carnes. She is the Co-President of the Association for Political Theory and a Consulting Editor for Contemporary Political Theory. Michael received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University and her A.B. in Philosophy and in Comparative Literature from Bryn Mawr College.
