FACULTY DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT

Lev Szentkirályi is the inaugural Faculty Fellow focusing on teaching and clinical faculty development in the Office of Faculty Affairs. As part of the Faculty Development and Support team, he develops programming to support early-, mid-, and late-career teaching and clinical professors through the unique challenges that define their non-tenure-track careers.  Lev organizes and facilitates diverse workshops tailored to the needs and interests of teaching and clinical professors and works to build community among these faculty through such initiatives as creating a new Community of Practice.

Lev is an Assistant Teaching Professor with the Social Responsibility and Sustainability Division in the Leeds School of Business.  Lev is the Faculty Director for Global Initiatives in Leeds and the Treasurer of CU-Boulder’s chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder, an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Connecticut, and a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy, and a B.S. in Environmental Studies from Bowling Green State University.

In addition to his teaching, scholarly research, and academic service at CU, Lev owns a small property management company, LMA Associates, LLC, and offers professional handyman services during the summer months when he is not teaching. On the 20th anniversary of his father’s untimely passing, Lev also established a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation, the Szentkirályi Scholarship Fund, to award scholarships to accomplished and promising CU students to honor the memory of his father—whose bright yellow 1977 Datsun F-10 Lev has been slowly restoring over the last couple decades. Lev also coaches his son’s youth baseball team and spends his summers gardening.
