How to Create a PDF

As of FRPA 2017, only PDF files will be allowed for uploading your Vita. The PDF file insures that special formatting and special characters remain intact on your vita.

Create a PDF on a PC with Adobe Acrobat:

  1. Open your Vita in Microsoft Word
  2. Click the File tab
  3. ​Click Save As PDF
  4. Select a location to save the file, making sure it is saved as with the .PDF file extension
  5. Upload your file to FRPA 

Create a PDF on a PC without Adobe Acrobat:

  1. Open your Vita in a Microsoft product
  2. ​Select Print
  3. Choose "Microsoft Print to PDF"
  4. On the following menu chose "Save as PDF"
  5. Upload your file to FRPA

Create a PDF from a Word File on a Mac with Adobe Acrobat:

  1. On the File menu click Save As
  2. ​In the Save As dialog box, enter the name of the file (name is limited to 100 characters)
  3. In the File Format box, click PDF
  4. Click Export
  5. Upload your file to FRPA

Please follow these steps to upload your Internal Vita:

  1. Browse to find the file.
  2. Rename the file (name is limited to 100 characters) so it is ended with a dot extension as in .pdf to identify the file type.
  3. Make sure the file name does not contain spaces or special characters like accent marks.
  4. Your vita must be uploaded as PDF file.
  5. Click the Save button to send the file to the database.
  6. After submitting, test the download using the link provided to view the vita on record for you.
