February 25, 2025 Winter Milky Way
The wonders of the universe are on display even in the winter.
If you find yourself under dark skies, take a moment to soak up the beauty of the winter Milky Way. It rises to the left of Orion in the southern sky and arches all the way up close to the zenith and down to the north through Cassiopeia.
A little more subtle than the summertime when we look towards the core of the Milky Way, but the winter atmosphere tends to be crisper and steadier and makes for a lovely view as we gaze towards the outer arms of our galaxy.
