Starting March 19, Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be required when logging onto CU’s VPN services. This is the same process that was recently implemented for logging into the MyCUInfo portal and the Buff Portal.

What’s the new VPN process?

  1. When logging into VPN, instead of the normal login prompt, you will be redirected to a web browser to log in using your username (identikey) and password
  2. Next you will get a Duo prompt which you will need to accept on your secondary device (typically your cell phone).
  3. Once you have accepted the Duo prompt you will then be logged into the VPN.

Do you still need to enroll in Duo?

You can enroll in Duo using a phone number or receive a prompt on your cell phone. Here’s how. We recommend installing the Duo app, which is available in our app catalog.
