Cost: $43,000,000
Gross Square Feet: 105,000–114,000

Classroom and office spaces will be constructed over the Euclid Avenue AutoPark as part of the new Center for Academic Success and Engagement (CASE). a new building being built atop the Euclid Auto Park.

CASE Building Timeline:

Aug. 1 2016: Site staging begins
Fencing, trailers and equipment go into place.

Aug. 22 2016: Construction begins
Euclid Autopark will remain open at this time, but there will be intermittent parking space closures between Aug. 22 and October.

Oct. 10 - Jan. 13, 2017: Euclid Autopark closure
During this time, campus visitors will be directed to park in Lot 204 across the street from Euclid Autopark. Affected permit holders will receive direct correspondence from Parking and Transportation Services regarding any possible relocations. Once reopened, the top level of the garage will have a slightly different traffic flow which will be well-marked for patrons. The garage is scheduled to be reopened by the start of spring classes on Jan. 17, 2017.

Week of October 17: Crane Delivery & Set Up
The rolling crane will arrive and be assembled in the beginning of the week.  This process will take several days and will require some disruption of the loading dock, with a possible short 3-hour outage of access to the CHEM/VAC dock area.

Week of October 24: Steel Delivery
The delivery of structural steel will begin this week.  This entails large semi-trucks entering the site from the north along 18th Street, unloading, and then exiting at the intersection of 18th Street and Euclid Ave.  There will be flaggers, but we ask that everyone use extra caution while travelling around the site during this time.

Intersection of Euclid Ave. & 18th Street – Continuing work
Utility work at this intersection is underway.  It was planned to be finished around October 13, but the replacement of some existing sewer lines has caused some unforeseen delays.  The gates have been removed and buses continue to use this route; however, 18th Street is still considered a restricted pedestrian and transit zone and all thru traffic is encouraged to use a different route.  There are flaggers posted during business hours to manage the lane restrictions, and one-lane of traffic will remain in effect until the work is finished.
