My name is Whitney Shapiro and I'm majoring in anthropology and French and getting a certificate in Arctic studies. I have been to almost every state in the U.S. and went to three different high schools in three different states! In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, hiking, playing with my cat, and generally being outside. Lobster used to be my favorite food but now I'm vegan. On campus, I'm a member of the Freeride club, am a warm greeter at the Math Academic Resource Center, a site leader for Alternative Breaks at the Volunteer Resource Center. I'm grateful and excited to be an ambassador for the French department. Ask me about why I chose French as my second language!
