Research

Planetary geoscience. My current research is focused on impact and ejecta physics across the solar system; I study secondary craters formed from fragments ejected during excavation of a primary crater to enhance our understanding of how any given impact event facilitates redistribution of material and, in turn, development of planetary surfaces. Other topics of interest include remote sensing and spectroscopy, geomorphology, sedimentology and stratigraphy, geochronology, planetary habitability, petrology, geophysics and tectonics, UAV science, geologic mapping, field work, and geoscience education.
