The scientific expertise and research programs of our faculty cover a wide range of topics in the geological sciences and connected disciplines. We offer many opportunities for our students to get involved in world-class research and invite all our visitors and current & prospective students to explore some of the key research areas in the Department of Geological Sciences (listed to the right) and connect with faculty based on their research program and interests. The Department of Geological Sciences is also home to numerous world class facilities that enable the cutting edge research programs within the department and our associated institutes and research centers.
