CU Boulder celebrates inaugural U.S. Health Promoting Campuses Week

CU Boulder is proud to announce that Kat Dailey, the assistant vice chancellor for Health Promotion, Education and Equity, is spearheading efforts to launch the very first U.S. Health Promoting Campuses Week from April 21-25.
The Okanagan Charter
In 2023, CU Boulder became one of the first 20 U.S. universities to sign onto the Okanagan Charter, elevating the campus’s priority of embedding health and wellness into all aspects of university life. The Okanagan Charter serves as an international framework to guide colleges and universities as they incorporate wellness through research, teaching and service.
U.S. Health Promoting Campuses Week
Universities across the U.S. have joined forces to raise awareness about the importance of embedding health and wellness in all aspects of university life.
This inaugural event celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Okanagan Charter and highlight the successes universities across the U.S. have achieved over the past decade. Additionally, the event spotlights the collective impact of the of the U.S. Health Promoting Campuses Network, which supports the efforts of member campuses.
Wellness at CU Boulder
Kat Dailey’s leadership underscores our campus’ dedication to centering the well-being of all our students, staff and faculty. By aligning our efforts and campus priorities with the Okanagan Charter, we will continue to take meaningful steps to strengthen the health of our entire campus community.
"This week provides the opportunity to promote and celebrate health on our own campus, but also that of our colleagues around the country. Now more than ever, we all benefit from creating community, sharing knowledge and building a culture of well-being at home and across the globe," said Dailey.
The CU Boulder campus also celebrated the week by hosting CU Thrive: Celebrating People, Place and Planet. This event offered an afternoon of fun, connection and well-being. Health & Wellness Services will also continue efforts throughout the summer by offering opportunities for students, faculty and staff to focus on their wellbeing.
