Medical Services

After hours nurse line

Medical Services offers after hours support with their free nurse line. Call 303-492-5101 to be connected with a registered nurse, who can recommend at-home care options and assess whether or not you need to be seen by a healthcare professional.

Telehealth services

Want to schedule an appointment with a Medical Services provider while you’re out of town? Students within the state of Colorado can schedule a telehealth appointment online. Learn more about telehealth services.

Students who are residing outside of Colorado will not be able to take advantage of telehealth appointments.

How to transfer prescriptions

Transfer Your Apothecary Prescriptions to Another Pharmacy:

  • To transfer your prescription from the Apothecary at Wardenburg to another pharmacy, please contact the pharmacy you wish to fill your prescription to and have them call the Apothecary directly at 303-492-8553. Please keep in mind that prescriptions can only be transferred out during open business hours and to plan ahead for holiday closures.

Transfer Your Prescriptions to the Apothecary:

Forms can be emailed to apothecary@colorado.edu or faxed to 303-492-4874.* Some controlled substances cannot be transferred due to legal restrictions. Please contact the pharmacy with any questions at 303-492-8553.

*Please note: Email is not a secure method of communication. To send prescription information securely, please fax information to the Apothecary at 303-492-4874. Please allow 24-48 hours to transfer. If there are any issues, the Apothecary staff will contact you.

Click on “Find a Doctor/Find Care” and scroll down to “Enter the Member ID or Prefix” tab. Enter the prefix “BKJ” to complete your search.

How to request your medical records

Do you plan on visiting the doctor while you are home? Request your medical records ahead of time (it can take up to 2 weeks to transfer records between providers).

To transfer your medical record, log into your MyCUHealth portal.

Under "Forms" select "Authorization to Release Health Information".

You can have your records sent to yourself as a secure message through your portal or they can be faxed to a provider. Please include the full address, phone and fax number for where you want records sent.
